Museum of Art for the Arts
Exploitation of the Odd
At the turn of the century, aberrations and 'freaks' of nature - who often also had performance and vaudevillian skills in spades - were paraded around the world in circuses and traveling sideshows. This collection of posters and ads from that era depict the brazen exploitation of these strange individuals and their friendly pets and proteges.
