Cat Flea
Meet the Weevils
© Clouds Hill Imaging Ltd./Corbis 42-15442174 →

Though the middle and hind legs of the Ctenocephalides felis are evolved for jumping from one feline host to another, the true miracle lies in the forearms, which are skillful at weaving cat hair into macrame coats for the winter. This cat flea hopes to one day retire to the countryside on a friendly opossum or prairie dog.
